Across the country, working people are rising up and planning more than just a barbecue this Labor Day.
Trump and his billionaire friends are turning our government into a slush fund for the wealthy, gutting Medicaid, firing federal workers, and ravaging our families through ICE raids. All while the costs for things like energy and groceries keep going up.
We are fighting back. We are coming together to continue standing strong and demand “workers over billionaires.”
On Monday, September 1, 2025 we are asking you to join us at the corner of 3rd and Royal Gorge in Cañon City from 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM. Because healthcare costs are only going up and we should support every effort to help people in need, we have moved a few blocks from the previous location so as to not interfere with the firefighter’s annual event to Fill The Boot to raise money. And we encourage you to bring donations for their efforts too.
We also want to remind you that you have every right to wear a mask to protests. We encourage anyone taking photos to ask permission and ensure people are fine appearing in the photo.
