A HUGE resounding thank you to everyone who showed up for No Kings on Oct. 18th. Historic numbers of people showed up across America, but we also broke records here in Fremont County. About 550 people lined Highway 50 to celebrate and joyfully exercise our First Amendment right to gather and speak up. And countless others honked in support as they drove by. So if you were there, driving by, or cheering us on in your heart, you deserve a round of applause.
But our work isn’t finished. Our government is still not working for us. November 1st will see many losing their SNAP benefits so feeding our community is more important than ever. We are working on compiling a list of various groups throughout Fremont County that have various food resources and pantries available. We want this list so not only can those who need extra help know where to turn, but so those who are able can also know where to donate time, money, or other resources. If you know of any food pantries, meals served, or other valuable resources that should make the list, please reply to this email and let us know.
In that same spirit, the Halloween Party is now ALSO a food drive! So wear your costume as you enjoy music, games, and good company while doing good for our community. Bring shelf stable canned or dry goods to donate. You can get details and learn how to RSVP by contacting us. I hear they may have prizes for costumes too.
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED:
One of our members is organizing groups to show up at area schools urging voters to support LL and MM. We are still looking for folks for a few days leading up to, and including, election day on November 4th. If you are interested, please respond and I will put you in touch with the organizer who will let you know when and where to be as well as get you a sign!
We Want Your Feedback:
The energy and motivation shared at protests is palpable, but why wait for protests to share that joy and excitement? We would like to start organizing regular, monthly get togethers. Is this something you are interested in attending? Is there a day/time that you would prefer? This information can help us plan and make this a reality. Respond to this email and let me know!
Want to do more but not able to leave home?
We’ve got you! A democratically elected Representative (Adelita Grijalva in Arizona) still has not been sworn in to do her duty. Why should you care? She would be the 218th signature required to force a vote on releasing the Epstein Files. Post on social media and write your Representative in support of swearing in an elected official. Fremont County is represented by Brittany Pettersen. You can find her website here. You can reach her:
By phone: (202) 225-2645 or
write to her Washington DC office at:

Every action we take, big or small, matters. You are not alone. And remember there are more of us who want to protect American democracy than those who don’t.
