LGBTQ+ Support & Solidarity
Fremont County Indivisible is proud to stand with our LGBTQ+ community, not just in words, but in action.
Our LGBTQ+ Outreach Spoke is dedicated to protecting, uplifting, and advocating for queer and trans individuals across Fremont County and beyond. We work closely with QUILTBAG, a Southern Colorado-based organization that provides direct support, resources, and community for LGBTQ+ people in our region.
What We Do:
- Track anti-LGBTQ+ legislation at the state and national level and mobilize community responses.
- Advocate for policies that protect queer and trans rights, from inclusive healthcare to nondiscrimination protections.
- Build safe spaces and connections for LGBTQ+ folks and allies in Fremont County.
Building Queer Joy & Community
Resistance is essential…but so is joy.
We’re not just fighting back, we’re building something beautiful.
- In June 2025, we organized Fremont County’s largest-ever Pride celebration. A vibrant day of visibility, solidarity, and love.
- We host monthly LGBTQ+ potlucks with QUILTBAG where community members gather for food, connection, and support.
- We’re planning more events year-round, from game nights and movie screenings to holiday parties and support groups, centered around safety, inclusion, and joy.
