On August 2nd, Fremont County made its voice heard.
Over 150 people gathered in Cañon City for our “Rage Against the Regime” protest, a powerful show of local resistance against Donald Trump, attacks on our social safety nets, and the continued rise of authoritarian politics. Together, we stood united to say: our community deserves better.
Armed with signs, chants, and an unshakable sense of purpose, we rallied for healthcare, housing, food security, and basic dignity—for all. We showed that rural communities are paying attention, taking action, and refusing to back down.
The energy was fierce. The message was clear. And this is only the beginning.
